QPC Instruments Inc. was established in 1983 in Milton, ON, Canada, by Mr. Clifford Bignell. Mr. Bignell's background of over 20 years in the coatings industry helped set the stage for the creation of QPC and its specialization in non-destructive test equipment and products. The purchase of AURA Industries Ltd. in late April 1998 resulted in the addition of Mr. Lew Reeves (Vice-President of QPC). Mr. Reeves' experience of over 40 years in the areas of non-destructive testing and eddy current testing allowed the company to expand and broaden its range of products and provided expertise to cover almost any need in the non-destructive testing arena.

Early lines such as Automation, Elcometer, PTC, Micrometrics and Spectronics gave QPC its start in the market. These lines provided invaluable experience and knowledge in the selection of test equipment to meet complex customer requirements by addressing them with the latest technology and materials to meet their applications in a cost effective manner. Today QPC proudly represents over 65 international manufacturers and distributes a full range of quality products. Current lines such as Defelsko, PCWI, Dakota Ultrasonics, PMC Beta, H.A.T.E. (Hydraulic Adhesion Test Equipment) and Rhopoint, to mention only a few, continue to allow QPC to maintain its leading position in offering solutions to complex and ever-changing customer needs.We are also heavily involved with the automotive and aerospace markets. Their demanding technologies and rigid requirements have driven QPC to continue to search for new products and to achieve higher levels of performance and service.

QPC not only sells, but repairs and calibrates the products it sells. This service gives us an added edge with our customers and results in a closer partnership with them as we become a vital source for their inspection processes.
